The numbers are startling. Assaults against ICE agents are up 700%. In Minnesota, an ICE officer was dragged 50 yards by a car. In Los Angeles, over 1,000 rioters surrounded a federal building and assaulted ICE officers. This week, shots were fired.
These events are only the start of the violence that will follow. And the responsibility for that violence lies squarely on the shoulders of the Democrat Party.
Every time Hakeem Jeffries compares ICE to Nazi storm troopers, every time Mayor Wu of Boston vilifies federal law enforcement, every time Tim Walz or Karen Bass demonizes immigration officers, they're inciting violence and risking lives.
Just as Kamala Harris did in 2020 when she justified riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, saying people were "rightfully angry and exhausted" and that "it's no wonder people are taking to the streets. And I support them." It’s worth noting that two people died during those riots.
Words have consequences. You can’t repeatedly demonize law enforcement and encourage rioters without bearing some responsibility for the chaos and losses that follow.
Violence for Votes
The left's “violence for votes” strategy is obvious. They can't win elections by answering voters' most basic question: "How will you improve my life?" So instead, they manufacture chaos, amplify violence, and then claim to be the solution. It would be silly, except it works.
First comes inflammatory language. ICE agents become "fascists." Immigration enforcement becomes "ethnic cleansing." Legal deportations become "family separation."
Then comes organized resistance. Sanctuary cities defy federal law. Local officials, dragging the compliant press along, disrupt enforcement operations. Finally comes violence. Skirmishes escalate into riots, until the unthinkable: gunfire.
It's a classic political trick: create the crisis, then campaign to fix it. This explains why Democrats fuel violence despite the dangers. The chaos serves their electoral purposes, property loss, and putting targets on federal agents, their spouses, and their children is an acceptable price.
This crosses every line of decency. They don't care.
Coordinated Terror Attacks
On July 4th, in a premeditated ambush at the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, ten individuals tried to kill ICE officers. They’ve been charged with attempted murder and face decades in jail.
Dressed in black military-style clothing and body armor, the group shot fireworks at the facility to draw officers outside. When an officer responded, a gunman in nearby woods shot him in the neck. Another attacker fired 20 to 30 rounds from an AR-style rifle at unarmed ICE officers.
The officer will survive, but this was a carefully planned attempt to commit murder.
Twelve sets of body armor were recovered. AR-style rifles littered the scene. Flyers declared "FIGHT ICE TERROR WITH CLASS WAR!" A flag read "RESIST FASCISM - FIGHT OLIGARCHY." Somebody paid for this operation.
These weren't random criminals. These were political extremists who internalized Democratic rhetoric and decided that taking lives was justified.
It’s deranged and dangerous. Sadly, it’s spreading.
The Pattern
The same day, a gunman opened fire on a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, before being taken down by law enforcement.
Two coordinated attacks in one day. This is the result of years spent vilifying political opponents.
In Los Angeles, federal agents faced a mob of over a thousand. Backup from LAPD took 2 hours. That’s not a dispatching issue, it’s a political statement.
Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom failed to condemn the attackers, the ones actually breaking the law. Instead, they blamed the presence of ICE officers for the rising tensions, as if the media circus they brought had nothing to do with it.
Days later, in San Francisco, a masked mob surrounded ICE agents, climbed on vehicles, and assaulted officers. Agents fought back with batons amid screams of "Shame on you!" For what, enforcing the law?
On July 10th, during ICE raids at marijuana farms in Ventura County, California, a protester fired a handgun at agents before fleeing. A $50,000 reward is set.
Agents also found 10 juveniles working at the farm; eight were unaccompanied minors.
It appears Democrats and their paid rabble-rousers oppose both immigration and child labor laws.
These aren’t political activists; these are anarchists turning law enforcement into a political weapon. They’re playing a game, and the consequences are dangerous.
The Human Cost
ICE agents put their lives on the line daily. They ask for support, not praise. Instead, the politicians who swore to uphold the law ratchet up the risk. It’s despicable.
Activists and sanctuary politicians side with criminals over their victims. They prefer gang members, abusers, predators, drug dealers, and smugglers to law-abiding citizens.
Democrats claim that arresting criminals is the real violence and label officers the bad guys.
The irony is profound. They claim to champion the oppressed while shielding the predators they let loose in vulnerable communities.
ICE targets criminal immigrants who exploit border chaos to terrorize neighborhoods, not economic migrants, although other immigrants have been caught up in the sweeps.
Where We Go from Here
In 2025, President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill passed, securing $150 billion for DHS.
It includes $30 billion for ICE enforcement, hiring 10,000 new ICE officers, 5,000 customs officers, and 3,000 border patrol agents.
This funding signals a new day in America’s immigration stance. When thousands of new agents report for duty, detention centers expand, and deportations explode, even the Democrats will realize that the open border era is over.
That doesn’t mean they’ll back down. After name-calling, riots and chaos are two of the Democrats’ favorite political tools, so expect more.
Where does that leave us?
Failure is not a Choice
America must decide: Are we a nation of laws or feelings? Do we enforce immigration laws or surrender to mob rule and anarchy? Do we protect our officers or let them stand alone in harm’s way?
Americans elected Trump to secure borders and enforce laws. That mandate stands.
We won’t be intimidated by political violence. We won’t let radicals wreak havoc on our country.
We will stand with those who protect us.
Violence against ICE ends through strength and resolve, not appeasement or compromise.
Our agents deserve support, respect, gratitude, and protection. Anything less is failure.
